Flyover and Underpass Project Has Touched Construction Stage

The construction of three flyovers and three underpasses in Jakarta has entered the construction stage. Until now, the project has been touched 10 percent.

Especially for flyover, it has entered physical construction, like bored pile foundation

Three flyovers are Bintaro Permai (450 meters long), Cipinang Lontar (550 meters long) and Pancoran (850 meters). Then three underpasses that will be built are Kartini (420 meters long), Mampang Kuningan (870 meters long) and Matraman (870 meters long).

"Especially for flyover, it has entered physical construction, like bored pile foundation," expressed Hananto Khrisna, Section Head of Jakarta Bina Marga Dept.'s Overpass and Intersection Division, Tuesday (4/11).

As for the underpass project, he stated, has entered wall construction by using secant pile. To anticipate congestion, he has coordinated with local police and Jakarta Transportation Dept.

"In overall, it has touched 10 percent. We hope the motorists who want to pass the project site to find alternative road," he closed.
